Improving Newborn Survival

Neonatal Mortality in Pakistan is one of the highest in the world. Every person involved in looking after newborns must strive to decrease our NMR to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Paediatricians have to play a focal and pivotal role in decreasing NMR in Pakistan. 

This course is a four-module course that will educate the learner on the main causes of neonatal mortality. The learner will be provided information followed by regular formative assessments. It is compulsory for all FCPS and MD trainees to take this course during the course of their four-year training at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences. Doctors training for MCPS and DCH exams are also encouraged to go through it as are the house officers.
